We accept the following forms of ID: Passports, Drivers Licenses and UK Armed Forces ID.
Please note we do not accept PASS identification cards.
Unless otherwise stated, all customers must be over 18yrs old and may need to provide ID before entry to the premises.
Project Darwen operates a Challenge 25 policy and refusal system. If you look under the age of 25, then the bar staff will ask you to prove that you are over 18yrs old.
We ask that customers dress “smart, casual” (clean trainers are ok)
Strictly no workwear, tracksuits, sports tops or caps.
Please Note, large bags, jackets and items such as umbrellas will not be permitted into the premises.
These items will be refused entry unless otherwise stored in the cloakroom.
There is a cloakroom located at the entrance and ground floor bar. Please ask a member of staff for assistance.
Free drinking water is available at any bar.
Project Darwen does not sell bottles of water with the lids on, and all lager and cider bottles will be opened before going over the bar.
There are two reasons for this. An unopened drinks vessel is heavy and can travel far if thrown and do damage if it hits someone. Also, an unopened vessel, if stood on, will roll and can lead to injury.
Project Darwen operates an admissions policy in agreement with Lancashire Constabulary. As part of this policy, it is a condition of entry that random searches be carried out on entry to the premises. We may also conduct random searches inside the premises, where necessary.
This is to ensure the safety of all our customers, staff and premises.
