Week 3 // Part 1 // Project Darwen Presents

// D M O’KANE //
I’m a DJay from Burnley, been doing it for about 3 years, I’ve played in some of the biggest clubs in the UK and travelled as far as Newquay. I specialise in house music and have done since I started and have recently started to do bassline as well. I have supported some of the biggest DJs and artists in the UK, such as Jay 1, Deno, Aitch and Danny T to name a few and will be supporting Young T & Bugsey, Bassboy, Bru C, Danny T and TS7 later on this year.

// MODEL CITIZEN //
Model Citizen likes to go against the grain… Always delivering his signature sound, of deep, funky, jacking beats, by taking his inspiration from the first wave of American DJs that invaded our shores in the mid-nineties, but never playing the tired, old, classics. Constantly striving for new sounds to keep the dance floor guessing and grooving, with barely a moment to stand still. Sole curator of the Mixcloud podcast series Underground Sound of Altrincham (now on its 37th volume and counting), and a regular DJ in and around Manchester, the #bearededlittleman never disappoints!

// DANIEL CLARKE //
Daniel Clarke became obsessed with rave mixtapes in the early ’90’, quickly progressing to getting a set of turntables and starting a huge vinyl collection. Throughout university in Manchester, he DJ’d at various venues including Dry Bar, The Attic, and Joshua Brooks. Fast forward to the last few years and he has been a resident DJ for the Minstrels Project playing at several local venues including Ego Dance Emporium and LOOP Bar in Blackburn as well as Sunbird Records in Darwen. A guest mix for the Lucius Lowe show on Chorley FM also brought him to a wider audience. Constantly pushing underground music, his sound now reaches across a wide spectrum, from deep afro-beats through to melodic breaks and everything in between.
